New line type

At some location, there are no pre-existing copper connections, or there is a shortage of copper connections in the available ISRA points. In that case, the nlsType parameter needs to be configured in the order. There are 2 relevant nlsType values:

  • 2: a new copper connection will be welded into an existing ISRA point

  • 3: a new copper connection will be connected in the building and a new ISRA point will be installed

Warning

For orders with a NLS type of 2 or 3, additional charges apply. The tariff can be retrieved from the package information in the the availability check result.

Testing and labeling

Some buildings have large ISRA points which contain several somewhere between 10 and 40 copper connections. When ordering a new connection, it may not be easy to find on which SIP pin the connection has been delivered. To prevent a quest to find the right SIP pin, it is instead possible to order a new connection with the testAndLabel parameter set to true. KPN will then schedule an appointment with the end user to test the new connection and label it in the ISRA point.

Warning

For testing and labeling additional charges apply as well. This tariff can also be found in the availability check result.

Line sharing

Sometimes an end user already has an analogue telephone line (aka PSTN). If a new connection is to be delivered on such a location, the lineSharing parameter needs to be set to true, and the lineNumber parameter needs to be set to the telephone number of that connection.
